Surviving A Quarantine

What a time to be alive. Quarantined in our houses with little to do other than watch movies, scroll mindlessly on social media, spend time with loved ones, or overthink everything that you’ve ever done in life. We will be telling our kids and grandkids about this..

Times can get tough when you’re stuck inside four walls. So Lex is here to attempt to put your mind at ease.

I’m lucky because I’ve been splitting time between my house and my boyfriends (mainly his house- I’m pretty sure his best friend/landlord is going to start charging me rent sometime soon LOL love you Adam) But really, breaking my time up between two houses has kept my life less mundane.

I’m also lucky in the aspect that I’m able to work from home through all of this while there are many people who are jobless and worried about how they will get income until this ends.

But I am also unlucky because I have much more time on my hands to spend thinking, and thinking, and thinking. About everything. Everything good. And everything bad.

It’s extremely hard to stay positive in an atmosphere like the one we are living in right now. But lets look at some positives here:

  1. There is much more time to spend time with people that maybe you don’t see as much because of work (and I mean people you live with, don’t hang out with a group of friends you turds)
  2. There is not much to do outside of your house other than explore- which means adventures! (stay tuned for my next blog about all of my adventures and my favorite local spots)
  3. The Earth is getting a much needed break from humans. Dolphins returning to the canals in Italy has to be a bright spot for some people in all of this!

I will never get political on here. I’m just trying to find the bright spots throughout this darkness.

If you’re struggling to stay calm, write a list of positives, lose yourself in a book, play a board game, go outside and go for a walk. Everything is temporary, even this.

Gonna give you all a bit to read to occupy your mind for a bit with 20 questions answered by me.

I’m also hopefully going to be writing more so if you have anything you want me to write about, please comment!

If any of you ever need a conversation to take your mind off of life-my inbox is open and free of judgment.

Happy reading & enjoy getting to know me more! Keep your heads up. There’s a light at the end of every tunnel.

    1. Well thankfully a lot of my hobbies that don’t include adventuring are indoor things .. I love to read, if you don’t try and audio book. Trying to find a good movie or tv show to binge. Scrapbooking. Organizing things in the house. Cleaning that one cabinet you’ve been wanting to forever. Doing a small home renovation project. You have to find the smallest things!
