And just like that, another year of my life has flown by. ( Well in two days to be exact)
I don’t know how. I literally feel like just yesterday my Michael was taking me out to dinner to celebrate and I was full of butterflies being spoiled like that.
Every year I am absolutely amazed at how much can change in such a short amount of time. Yet at the same time so much changes.
My 23rd year was not what I expected in the least bit. From meeting and falling in love with my soul mate, to being in the midst of a pandemic for 9 months, to becoming pregnant, to preparing to move out, to working from home, to the amazing new friendships I’ve formed.
Obviously 2020 was an absolute shit show for the human race but when I look down to the fine details I found so much to be positive about. No one I love has gotten COVID, I’ve spent so much time with my family and Michaels, I’ve had time to read books and catch up on movies, I found out how truly terrible social media is ( yes this is a positive ).
As usual I will post a disclaimed: My life is not all rainbows and cupcakes. Part of my year was spent battling anxiety, then battling the worst morning sickness for weeks, watching my oldest pup get more and more sick, getting my car backed in to, finding out who really cared about getting to know the person I am. Just because I find the positives and speak about them doesn’t mean there are no negatives.
I just know that 24 will be another memorable year. Living with my favorite human, having a beautiful baby girl to care for (that still sounds so wild to me!!), travelling to more beautiful places, and making more memories with the people that matter.
I want to commemorate my 23rd year by writing a list of 23 things that I’ve learned or things that I already knew but became more true and instilled in me even more.
Here you go readers.
- Music is irreplaceable and I don’t understand how people don’t always have a spotify list playing.
2. Harry Potter brings me a type of joy and calmness that few other things can.
3. There is no need to prove your worth to people. The ones who matter will see you for the good person you are without an explanation.
4. Nothing compares to the view of a mountain range in the distance and fresh air in your lungs.
5. I will never live in a city.
6. Not wearing mascara makes your eyelashes grow like weeds.
7. If you don’t pay attention closely enough your little siblings will mature 5 years without you realizing.
8. Taking and printing pictures are the most important thing you can do for your memory.
9. The Earth needs our help to become healthy again and it makes me sad this isn’t more important.
10. Sleep was God’s gift to us. And being pregnant can make you sleep for 12 hours and still be tired.
11. No job is worth your sanity and happiness.
12. Meeting your soulmate is unexpected and the greatest thing imaginable.
13. Pregnancy is not fun for everyone. Not sure why it’s so glamorized.
14. Moms will literally go to any end of the Earth to make you feel better.
15. There is nothing that can replace time with your family and close friends.
16. Sometimes your life long friends come along in your twenties.
17. Painting your nails is a hassle.
18. People need to get away from social media and all that it *seems* to be. Books are a better place to waste time and escape into a fantasy world. Try an audio book if you’re not a nerd like me.
19. There’s no need to argue about things that will never change. He will always like Trump, she will always like Biden. Respect it and move on.
20. Dreams are the craziest, unexplainable thing in this world.
21. The night sky should be appreciated more. We are so small.
22. There’s so much beauty here in the U.S. that we don’t even have to leave the country. But I’m still going to leave. Switzerland is callllling my name.
23. I was blessed in every way with my family and friends and that’s all I care about at the end of the day.

I am over the moon you’ll be having a little girl they are the best gift from above, for my girls every year on their birthday I wrote them a letter about what they accomplished or what we did that year and a photo of them and on their 18th birthday I gave them both a box and they cried like babes ha just an idea for your little one ! I think it’s something that happens naturally. You feel different and start to drift. That’s what happened with me! It’s like a weight being lifted. Almost like a bad relationship. There are people out there who will be better friends. You just have to give them a chance to find you!

1- I’m actually very introverted and it takes me some time to come out of my shell
2-I’m the least judgemental person. I never judge a person on their past or who they are.

1- We are in contact. Don’t see each other much but it is better than it’s been in the past 6 years
2- Not being able to sleep

Yes. But Neither of us really bring it up but it always comes up from other people asking us when it’ll happen.
Some guys take more time for some reason. But if it’s been that long I don’t think he’d stay with you if he didn’t see himself with you! I would bring it up and ask what his plans for the future are. I already know Michael and I will be married one day so I don’t feel the need to ever ask when it’ll happen

Hahaha before I had morning sickness I lived off of chicken nuggets! I don’t eat them as much right now bc babe doesn’t like them! Buttttt if I nug is good enough it doesn’t need dunking! If I had to list the best dunking sauces it would be 1- ranch 2-barbecue sauce 3-chik fil a sauce. My favorite nugget places are 1-McDonald’s 2-Wendy’s 3-chik fil a!

You have really nice skin ! do you do anything special ? I noticed you don’t wear a ton of make up (which is not a bad thing !! ) I wish I was secure enough to not wear anything I just feel I don’t look good 😭 but you can pull it off !!! Do you only do make up for specific things ? What’s the scoop I need clean skin like you !!!!

First off-Thank you !!! But I have very sensitive skin so I use sensitive skin facial lotion that’s natural and a lotion! Last time I used liquid foundation was middle school and I use powder only for weddings but I do my eye makeup for nights out or special occasions! Other than that it’s a bit of concealer and mascara !!

I know this is so random and old but I just saw the video of you and Michael on the kind shop…..I want to die HOW CUTE !!! Where is that bathing suit from? where was that taken what a beautiful location?! Can you share some of the experience and how it happened and if you enjoyed them I am looking for a new photographer in my area !

Thank you!! The suit was from SHEIN ! And that location was in a creek in West Seneca. The whole experience was last minute and random- they were calling for models and they picked me and him the day before so we got up at 8:00 on a Saturday to do it. Amanda and Emily are absolutely amazing and fun to work with. Their work speaks for itself! They’re doing my maternity pictures !

I am friends with my ex’s sister and we’ve been friends the whole time we dated, I just don’t know if it’s appropriate to still be friends with her it’s such a struggle because she’s so nice I just don’t know if that’s crossing a line wanted your opinion on it or if you had advice from past experience any help would be great lol

I personally still have contact with my exes family! Nothing crazy but moms, sisters, cousins still message me congrats and happy birthday! One exes cousin did reach out to me about a pregnancy too for some advice ! It’s never long conversation and never talk about the relationship so I don’t find it crossing the line! I think it’s weird when people still hang out with exes family but social media conversations is very harmless!

I don’t think it should be weird if everyone’s mature! My one exes family still goes into my family business and there’s so no bad blood at all! Both my exes had amazing families but my michael now has another amazing one and I feel like I fit the best with them! But I think conversations and good wishes are harmless! I will continue to do so as they do for me!!
